Texas Marine celebrates Dennis Hebert’s 30th Anniversary

2 cHere at Texas Marine, we function as a Team. We even call Blog Picourselves the Texas Marine Team. Our employees are part of what makes this company so successful, but even more than that, a great place to work. We value the relationship with our employees and admire their accomplishments. This is one of those rare times we get to celebrate an employee who has been with us almost from the beginning.

Dennis Hebert works in our Service Dept. and has been with Texas Marine for 30 years. The Team gathered together on his 30th anniversary last week to recognize a job well done! Dennis is that guy who is always there 5cwhen you need him and you can always count on him to go above and beyond what is required or asked of him. He is a true team player. Dennis will help anyone who asks for his assistance. Over the years he has helped train new techs. He has also contributed greatly in training parts and service staff members.

One of the funniest stories we like to tell about Dennis happened several years ago. Dennis was on the lot in the hottest part of 4cSummer. He opened one of the large boat engine hatches and got inside of the engine compartment to check it out. The engine cover somehow fell and he was trapped inside. Nobody was around and he was struggling to get out. After a long while, he came walking inside red-faced, hot, sweating and looking exhausted. He told us the story. At the time it wasn’t funny but later we all talked about it with him and got a good laugh.

Texas Marine recognized Dennis Hebert’s accomplishments with a “Big Green Egg” BBQ Grill and a check in celebration of his time with us. We all wanted him to know how very m6cuch this good man is appreciated and respected. So, congratulations Dennis Hebert on 30 years of outstanding service and a job well done!

Ron Latil, Business Manger
Nickname: “Real Deal”

Ron Latil was born and raised in Sour Lake, Texas. After High School, he went to work for his father in the oilfields of Sour Lake. There he began understanding the meaning of hard work. It didn’t take long for him to realize that the oilfield was not what he wanted to do with the rest of his life.

He started looking for a new Path to carry him into the future. That is when he found Texas Marine, in 1999. He became a used boat salesman. A few short months later he met his amazing wife, which he married in 2000. His wife worked as a service cashier at a local automotive dealership. She called one day and said they were looking for a salesman. Ron applied and went to work selling Chevrolets. But, he always had it in the back of his mind that he wanted to return, one day, to Texas Marine. He got that chance in 2013 and took it.

Ron is now the Business Manager for Texas Marine Beaumont. In his own words, “He has an awesome job selling fun!” Ron loves spending time with his gorgeous wife and 12-year-old daughter, who is a cheerleader at a local competitive school. He also enjoys being with his 6 year old son. Ron is excited about going to watch him play T-Ball this spring. His family attends Liberty Baptist Church in Orangefield, where Ron lives. His favorite activities are being with family, attending church, fishing and hunting.

Amanda Boston, Sales Specialist

(Nickname: The Energizer Bunny)

My name is Amanda Boston and I am a Sales Specialist at Texas Marine in Conroe, Texas.  I was born in Deer Park, Texas. Almost every weekend was spent at my Grandmother’s house in Lampasas, Texas. The other weekends were spent working on my daddy’s 1968 Dodge Charger.  In Junior High school, we moved to Cy-Fair where I attended Arnold and met my best friend for life, Sunny Allen.  Sunny and I spent every day of every summer at the pool!  My passion was swimming and modeling. I went to Magnolia High School. That is where I learned to get lost in the woods on a four wheeler, hunt, fish, race the 1968 Dodge Charger and play the bass guitar.

I met my husband in Conroe, Texas in 2008. We have made our life and family on Lake Conroe, where we share our love for the church, family, and water.  Together we have four wonderful children.

As an adult, I’ve always been in the sales industry.  I’ve mainly stayed in the motorized vehicle industry.  Selling Harleys, cars, trucks, car accessories and of course boats. Selling boats, by far, has been the most rewarding experience. My goal and dream is to make a positive impact on every single person I meet.  I believe that one person can make a huge positive impact on the world one person at a time.

Amanda has quite the reputation for customer satisfaction because Jennifer Baker recently posted on Facebook “Amanda Boston is very knowledgeable and has such a professional attitude.” Chris Hunt then chimed in with his own great review saying, simply  “Amanda is Awesome!”very talkative and always loves a good conversation.
